Michael Buble has Croatian roots on his father's side, and Italian on his mother's side. More precisely, Michael Steven Buble was born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada in 1975, the son of Lewis Buble, a fisherman with Croatian ancestry from the island of Lošinj, and Amber (nee Santaga), of Italian origin. He and his wife Luisana Lopilato have four children. The second name Buble is Croatian, and should be pronounced as boobl:e. Michael Buble visited Croatia in 2019, and had an emotional 2-hour concert in the city of Zagreb.

The participants arrive from Argentina - Luis Horacio Caruana, Mariano Siccardi, Holland - Marijke Brekelmans and Ronald Drenton, Canada - Sunny Maria Ritter, Ukraine - Irina Smirnova, Italy - Piano duo Aventaggiato Matarrese, and representing Croatia - Diego Vitasović, Nika Ružarija Orepić, Miloš and Olivera Krivokapić, Đuro Vidmarović, Radojka Šverko, Ksenija Prohaska, etc. The spiritus movens is indefatigable Ivana Marija Vidović, the founder and director of the Festival (on the photo, on the right).

ESPN produced segment about Nenad Bach and his journey through diagnosis of Parkinson. ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network) is an American-based global cable and satellite television channel. Her Royal Highness, Princess Zeina Rashid of Jordan, visited the WTTC (World Table Tennis Center) on Sunday, February 6th 2022, as the first stop on her visit to New York metro area to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the global non-profit PingPongParkinson. The purpose of Princess Zeina's visit to the New York Metro area was to participate in celebrating and promoting the growth of PingPongParkinson.

Yoko Nishii's pianist concert tour in Croatia for 2022: Vinkovci, Županja, Vukovar, Rijeka

Yoko Nishii is touring Croatia again: Vinkovci, 12th September (Music school "Josip Runjanin" at 19:00), Županja, 13th September u 19:30 (Pastoral - cultural center), Vukovar, 15th September at 19 sati (Marble Hall of Eltz Palace). Yoko Nishii is a Japanese pianist. She speaks Croatian, and until now had 50 soloist concerts throughout Croatia, in as many as 24 cities and towns.

Mladen Bestvina delivered a plenary lecture at International Congress of Mathematicians for 2022

Professor Mladen Bestvina (on the photo with his wife) is a Croatian-Americna mathematician, born in 1959 in the city of Osijek, Croatia. He completed his studies of Mathematics at the University of Zagreb. He was a successful competitor at International Mathematical Olympiads for High School students. In the past twenty years he achieved spectacular results in Geometric Group Theory, for which he had an honor of delivering a plenary lecture on 10th July 2022 at the International Congress of Mathematicians. The ICM is organized every fourth year, and for each Congress about 14 pleanry lecturers are chosen who had the most important contributions in the field of Mathematical sciences in the previous period.

Peljesac bridge connecting Croatia with EU and China
The Peljesac Bridge, constructed by a Chinese consortium led by the China Road and Bridge Corporation, across the Bay of Mali Ston in the Adriatic Sea in southern Croatia, connecting the country's mainland with the Peljesac Peninsula, has officially opened to traffic on Tuesday, making it easier for locals to travel. As the largest construction project of transportation infrastructure since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Croatia, the Peljesac Bridge, 2,440 meters long and 22.5 meters wide, is also a model project for China, Croatia and the EU to carry out tripartite cooperation.

Gustav Likan 1912-1998 distinguished Croatian-American painter and the Father of Acrylics
Known as the Father of Acrylics, Gustav Likan was originally from Croatia, he lived and painted in Argentina, Chicago and finally in 1969 he moved to Austin. In 1950 he began a two year commission for Eva Peron, painting murals in all the Argentina schools. He emigrated to South America in 1950 where he began a two-year commission for Eva Peron painting murals in the schools of Argentina. He later moved to the United States arriving in Chicago in 1957. He was appointed to the staff of The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts as an instructor where he taught until 1967. The remainder of his life he resided in Texas. He taught at the Laguna Gloria Museum in Austin.

Nikola Tesla connecting India and Croatia

On 2nd and 3rd July 2022, an excursion was organized by the Croatian-Indian Society in Zagreb (CIS), jointly with CIGRE-Croatia. The aim was to learn more about Nikola Tesla's education in Croatia (Tesla spent the first 20 years of his life in Croatia) and about his role in the history of Electrical Engineering. The first day, we visited the Museum of the Castle of Ozalj and two Hydroelectric plants of Ozalj on the beautiful Kupa river. The second day, we visited the city of Gospić and the village of Smiljan, where Nikola Tesla was born. Among 14 participants of the excursion, there were five citizens of India.

This cultural project is carried out under the auspices of the Committee for Education, Science and Culture of the Croatian Parliament and the Council for Culture of the Croatian Conference of Bishops. Videos are published in English and Croatian (Digital Recording of the Croatian Mariological Heritage, i.e., Digitalno snimanje hrvatske marijanske baštine). The Project leader, scenarist and director: Hrvojka Mihanović-Salopek, Ph.D., employed at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb.

Werner Ilic and Martin Cruickshank two Croatian defenders paddled across the Atlantic in 2022

Werner Ilić and Martin Cruickshank (right and left), Croatian defendors from 1990s, successfuly paddled across the Atlantic Ocean during 83 days (i.e., almost three months). They travelled 5500 kms from Canari Islands to Barbados (from 15th January to 22nd March 2022). In this way, Croatia has been included into the list of 32 countries which have paddlers accross oceans. Mr. Werner Ilić is a Croatian born in Germany, while Marti Cruickshank is of Scottish provenance, living in Croatia in the town of Velika Gorica near Zagreb, where he is happily married.

Luka Modric has won Champions League 5 times with Real Madrid (until 2022). Modric is the only one who has stolen the show from Ronaldo & Messi- duel for the Ballon D'or in 2018. He has been picked by many football experts as one of the best midfielders in the football history. In addition to this, each Champions League in the past 10 years (ie., since 2021) had at least one Croatian player in the finals, which servs as a clear indication of the presence of Croatian players in European top football. in the period of 2013-2022, each winning team of Champions League had at least one Croatian player. Luka Modric made a significant conbtribution to the series of titles achieved by Real Madrid.

Nikola Tesla's lecture in the city of Zagreb in 1892

Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) was born in Croatia, where he spent his young formative years. Out of his 87 years, he spent the first 20 in Croatia, and in the USA about 60 years. In 1892 he visited the city of Zagreb, where he was invited by Milan Amruš, the Mayor of the city. On May 24th, 1892, Nikola Tesla presented some of his advices how to electrify the city using his AC (alternating current) polyphase system. On this occasion, he said the following: "I consider it as my duty, as a native son of this country, to assist the Zagreb City Council in this matter and help in every way I can." Tesla arrived to Zagreb on 22nd May, and left it on 26th May.

Five generations of Japanese Ambassadors to Croatia, hosted by the Croatian Ambassador H. E. Mr. Dražen Hrastić and his spouse Mrs. Blaženka Hrastić, gathered together for an evening on 16 May 2022 that brought back nostalgic stories of their time in Croatia. On that occasion, Yoko Nishii had a mini concert. Yoko Nishii had the honor of performing also at the Spring Afternoon Tea for the spouses of ambassadors of various countries at Croatian Embassy on 19 May 2022, hosted by Croatian ambassador'€™s spouse Mrs. Blaženka Hrastić.

Blessed Easter Greetings from the city of Solin, Croatia

The city of Solin, near the city of Split, sends us a wonderful Easter greeting in the form of a traditional Croatian song "Puče moj" (My People, or Populus meus in Latin). It is interpreted in a contemporary way by the choir of Veritas aeterna (Eternal Truth) in the church of sv. Obitelji (Sacred Family) in Solin. Arranged by Antonio Grkeš, the soloists are Ante Mlikota, Ana Dobrijević, Antonio Grkeš, Doruntina Qivlaku. The Croatian original verses are translated into English. We also provide a very nice traditional Croatian melody for "Psalm 51" arranged by Ivanski from Kaštel Sućurac (in the vicitnty of Split).

The Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra boasts 150 years of tradition of first-class musicianship in Zagreb and across Croatia. Under the baton of conductor Jan Latham-Koenig, the Orchestra performs Sibelius' Violin Concerto, with one of Britain's most active concerto soloists and recitalists, violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen. Over the decades, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra has stimulated Croatian musical creativity by performing, premiering and recording numerous pieces of music by Croatian composers and this concert will open with four short songs for voice and orchestra by Dora Pejačević sung by Croatian soprano Marija Vidović, on the photo.

Benefit concert of "I Medici di McGill Orchestra" in Montreal, Canada, to help Ukraine
You are cordially invited to the next concert of "I Medici di McGill Orchestra", in collaboration with the McGill Ukrainian Students Association. Guest conductor, maestra Veronique Lussier leads the ensemble that will present the pianist and medical student Emily Oulousian in Grieg's Piano Concerto, an MSF staff member on the ground in Ukraine will provide a 15 min presentation. The event starts with singing of the Ukrainian National anthem and three Ukrainian folks songs performed by Trio Rossa. The orchestra was founded in 1989 by Croatian-Canadian scientist and musician Dr. Ante L. Padjen (on the photo) with an aim to reinforce the study of the humanities at the faculty.

Keiko Mitani Japanese expert in Croatian Glagolitic literature passed away in 2022
Keiko Mitani, professor at the University of Tokyo, one of greatest Slavists in Japan, passed away in January 2022. She earned her PhD at the University of Zagreb, under supervision of Professor Stjepan Damjanović (of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts). She was president of the Japan-Croatian Friendship Society in Tokyo. In 2017, she participated at the international conference "The Phenomenon of the Glagolitic Script", organized in the cities of Biograd and Zadar on Croatian coast. She also wrote a manual in Japanese for learning Croatian, as well as a Croatian-Japanese dictionary.

Romain Rolland's 1924 book "Mahatma Gandhi" translated into Croatian as "Naš Gandhi" (Our Gandhi!)

Romain Rolland's book was published on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi (celebrated in 2019), and Stjepan Radić (honored in the year 2021). The original Croatian version of the book was published in 1924, entitled "Naš Gandhi" (Our Gandhi!). Issuing this reprint was suggested by Mr. Joginder Singh Nijjar, the president of Croatian-Indian Society in Zagreb. It appeared under the auspices of highest Croatian political, cultural and scientific institutions, as well as under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of India to Croatia. We provide a presentation of the reprint written by Ante Belić.

GAVRANFEST in Augsburg in Germany 17-19 March 2022 in Sensible Theater
The thirteenth GavranFest will be held 17-19 March 2022 in Senseble Theater in Augsburg, Germany. It's an international theatre festival with plays by Miro Gavran, Croatian writer. The festival selectors and organizers Anne Schuster i Sebastian Seidel invited five theatres from three countries, Romania, Germany, Croatia with theatres from Bucharest, Augsburg Munich and Zagreb. Along with theatre performances, there will also be a presentation of Gavran's collection of plays in German called ONE DRAMA AND FOUR COMEDIES in translations by Tihomir Glowatsky, Ljerka Orešković Herrmann and Ludwig Steindorff.

Betiana Bellofatto published her photobook published in Ushuaia in 2021: Terra Australis Aedificanda (Southern Land To Be Built). Born in 1979 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Betiana Bellofatto studied Audiovisual Design and Photography. She has performed as direction and production assistant in several fictional short-films and commercial spots. In 2009, in Berlin, she co-founded i Collective, a multicultural artist collective that works on multidisciplinary projects. Her activity combines photography, installation, art in the public space and internet art.

Let us help Bosnia and Herzegovina become a country of equal nations and citizens, and to help open and secure the way for the country to become a member of European and Euro-Atlantic integrations.

1143 years since the first international recognition of Croatia
The first international recognition of Croatia came in 879 from Pope John VIII, i.e., 1143 years ago! The Croatian Prince Branimir, 9th century, made important steps in strengthening the relations with Rome. During the solemn divine service in St. Peter's church in Rome in 879, Pope John VIII gave his blessing to the prince and the whole Croatian people, about which he informed Branimir in his letters, the first one dated on May 21, 879. This was the first time that the Croatian state was officially recognized. A special cultural program was organized on 15th January 2022 at Croatian Embassy in Tokyo on the occasion of the first diplomatic recognition of Croatia in 1992, on which occasion Yoko Nishii played her solemn pianistic concert.

Miro Gavran is the greatest Croatian contemporary playwright: his plays were translated from Croatian into as many as 41 languages worldwide. His play 'The Doll' will be shown in 2022 in the Russian Federationand in Turkey. Its Russian premiere will be shown on 26th Febrary 2022 in Moscow, at the famous Taganjka Theatre. The play was translated from Croatian by Sergej Girin. It was premiered already in 2011 in New York, and since then it was shown with great success throughout the world: in Los Angeles, Mumbai, Havana, Vienna, Copenhagen, Budapest, etc.

Tomislav Sikic delivered a lecture about Srinivasa Ramanujan a famous Indian mathematician

Tomislav Šikić, Assocuate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Zagreb, delivered a lecture dedicated to Srinivasa Ramanujan, the most famous Indian mathematician in history. Croatian mathematicians have contributed twelve scientific papers in The Ramanujan Journal. Also, as many as 23 Indian mathematicians are (or have been) members of specialized math journals in Croatia, published by Element co. Two Croatian mathematicians, Professors Hrvoje Šikić and Zoran Vondraček, have earned their PhD's under the guidance of distinguished Indian mathematician Murali Rao, University of Florida. A few Croatian mathematicians were invited lecturers in Indian scientific institutions.

Tony Butala, of Croatian descent, is the founder (in 1960) and the lead singer of The Lettermen trio. It has existed for almost sixty years. Some of the best known songs interpreted by The Lettermen are such classics like "Put Your Head on My Shoulder", "When I Fall in Love", "Morning Girl", ... Tony Butala keeps in contact with Croatian community in the USA. Also, he is a passionate winemaker. When Mike Grgich, probably the most famous American wine maker (and born in Croatia) was at the age of 90 (in 2013), he participated in the program of his anniversary with several Croatian songs, like Marijana and Tri palme na otoku sreće.

Guy Mitchell American singer of Croatian origin "Singing the blues"
Guy Mitchell's real name was Albert George Crnić, and both of his parents were from Croatia. His father Albert was born in the town of Mrkopalj in Gorski kotar (part of Croatia), who as a young man arrived to the USA, working in Detroit. Guy Mitchell's mother Mary Dobrotinić was born in St. Louis, and both of her parents are from the town of Bribir near the Croatian coast. Albert junior was born in Detroit in 1927. In the 1950s and 1960s he registered for Columbia Records as many as 40 hits. Some of his most popular songs are My Heart Cries for You, Heartaches by the Number, and Singing the Blues, which in 1956 became the most wanted song during 10 weeks.

Marinko Marco Radakovic to appear in the film "Don't Look Up"

Marinko Marco Radakovic (left) will appear in the new film "Don't Look Up" an upcoming American satirical science fiction black comedy film written, produced, and directed by Adam McKay. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence as two low-level astronomers attempting to warn mankind, via a media tour, about an approaching comet that will destroy Earth. The film is set to receive a limited theatrical release on December 10, 2021, prior to streaming on Netflix on December 24, 2021.

Mirjana Bohanec Croatian opera singer, diplomat, and a film star

Her concert reportoire is very extensive: from Baroque oratorial works of Bach, Haendel, Monteverdi, Pergolesi, Cherubini, Vivaldi, to such classics like Mozart and Haydn. She sang numerous pieces of Lied, composed by Schumann, Schubert, Brahms, Grieg, Debussy, etc. She also interpreted works of Croatian authors: Antun Sorkočević, Vinko Jelić, Ivan Lukačić, Ferdo Livadić, Vatroslave Lisinski, etc. Except in Croatia, she had concerts in Austria, Germany, Italy, Swityerland, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, France, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Australia, Canada and in the USA. However, she is best known for her role in the an anthological Croatian film Tko pjeva zlo ne misli (Who Sings - Does not Think of Evil). She was also a Croatian diplomat in Germany and Austria in 1990s.

Vesna Škulić is living in the village of Ražanac near the city of Zadar, Croatia. As an amateur radio operator, she She trasfered more than hundred thosand humanitarian messages. She actively participated in solving numerous problems related to the humanitarion action of White Path in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1993. According to late Professor Slobodan Lang, Zagreb, who was the chief organizer of the action, this was the first ever successful joint Christian - Muslim humanitarian operation in history. Vesna Skulić, a courageos and charming Croatian woman, is a paraplegic.

Born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1958, Radoslav moved to the United States at age six. In the late 1990s Radoslav took his blues and accordian stylings to numerous Yupa ik Eskimo villages throughout SW Alaska. This memorable, mid-winter visit also included community concerts and class presentations in nearly twenty villages. Drawing from a multitude of influences ranging from elegant classical and jazz styles to the rawest, most basic blues, country and soul, Radoslav Lorkovic has taken on an unusually broad musical spectrum and refined it into his distinctive piano style. He has played with Odetta, Shawn Mullins, Greg Brown, Jimmy LaFave and others.

Nedavno je u starome talijanskom gradu Acquaviva delle Fonti u blizini Barija u Apuliji održano vrlo ugledno međunarodno natjecanje pijanista iz cijelog svijeta od Kanade, SADa, Kine, Južne Koreje pa do brojnih europskih zemalja. U konkurenciji do 35 godina starosti bio je i jedan natjecatelj iz Hrvatske. Riječ je o natjecanju Citta di Acquaviva "žGiovanni Colafemmina". Na čelu žirija bio je ugledni argentinski pijanist Daniel Rivera, a članica žirija bila je i hrvatska pijanistica Ivana Marija Vidović.

Ivana Marija Vidović, Croatian concert pianist and poet (on the photo), is the founder and director of the Epidaurus Festival in Cavtat, a beautiful town south-east of the city of Dubrovnik, where she was born. In 2021, the festival is marking its fifteenth anniversary. We owe her our deep gratitude for great efforts and love, which has connected so many Croatian and foreign artists, especially musicians. The burden of its organization is shared by her mother Franica, as well as by her father, and a small number of faithful colleagues and friends. In 2021, a special guest of the festival will be Radojka Šverko, distinguished Croatian diva.

2021 PingPongParkinson German Open and ITTF Parkinson's World Table Tennis Championships

Nenad Bach's idea of Parkinson's World Table Tennis Championship gathered 21 countries in the city of Berlin, among them Croatia as well. The German Open and the World Championship showed that the competition is steadily growing each year. Nenad Bach and George Chan won gold medal in the doubles, as representatives of the USA. The next World Championship, in October 2022, will be hosted by Croatia, the homeland of Nenad Bach.

Dina Levacic Croatian marathon swimmer
Dina Levačić, Croatian marathon swimmer born in 1996 in the city of Split, is the first Croatian woman to have swam across La Manche (34 km, 2017), in close to 12 hours. She also swam Hernandarias - Parana (88 km, Argentina), Santa Fe (57 km, Argentina, 2014), 2014 the Catalaina Channel (Los Angeles, 34 km, 20217), 20 Manhattan Bridges (46 km, 2017, USA), Molokai Channel (42 km, Hawaii, USA, 2018), Tsugaru Channel (connecting the islands of Honshu and Hokkaido, Japan, 2019), etc. She swam her first marathon of 2 km in 2005 at the age of 9, in the town of Omiš near Split.

Operation "Storm" (August 1995) is the first ever military action that prevented genocide. It prevented genocide in the region of Bihać in the western part Bosnia, where there were at that time about 150,000 thousand people, and where I expected that if the case of Srebrenica happened again, there would have been about at least 12,000 people killed. For that reason I gave specifically asked president Tuđman to take military action. And now I will take a background. I am Jewish, I come from a Holocaust family...

Exhibition of Croatian culture in Korean National Library in Seoul 2021
A very special exhibition called Croatian Traces of Thousand Years, Literature and Cultural Heritage from the Middle Ages to Modern Time was held at The National Library of Korea in its capital Seoul from June 28th until July 25th , 2021. This exhibition presented the Republic of Croatia and its diverse cultural wealth. Ms. Suh Hye-ran, the Director of the National Library of Korea, pointed out in her speech that it was the very first time that the Croatian Glagolitic alphabet came to Korea.The article was prepared by Mrs. Mirna Lipovac, on the photo.

Tin Srbić's silver medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021 is the second Olympic medal for Croatian gymnastics after Filip Ude in 2008 in Beijing. It is a huge success of Croatian gymnast, and among greatest in the history of Croatian sports. Tin Srbić is a former world champion in gymnastics horizontal bar from 2019. At the World Challenge Cup, organized in the city of Osijek, Croatia 2021, he won gold medal.

Martin and Valent Sinkovic won men's gold medal in Olympic rowing in Tokyo 2021, Damir Martin bronze

Croatian brothers Martin and Valent Sinković have dominated the men's pair in Olympic rowing, cruising to victory in a race they led from the start. The Croatians were the heavy favorites. This is the third Olympic medal for the Sinkovic brothers, each having been won in a different discipline. In 2012, they won the silver medal in the men's quadruple sculls in London and in 2016 they claimed gold in the men's double sculls in Rio de Janeiro. Croatian rower Damir Martin won bronze medal (in his words, of platinum glitter). This is his third Olympic medal.

Croatia winning both gold and silver medals at 2021 Olympic men's tennis doubles final in Tokyo

Croatia's Mate Pavić and Nikola Mektić beat Marin Čilić and Ivan Dodig 6-4 3-6 10-6 in the Olympics men's doubles final to win their first-ever gold medal in tennis. It is for the first time in the pasty 108 years that the doubles representing the same country met in the tennis finals. Michael Venus and Marcus Daniell of New Zealand won the bronze. Croatia already had several olympic tennis medals in previos competitions: 2004 Doubles Bronze - Mario Ančić and Ivan Ljubičić, 1992 Singles Bronze - Goran Ivanišević, 1992 Doubles Bronze - Goran Ivanišević and Goran Prpić.

Matea Jelic of Croatia won taekwondo gold medal at the 2021 Olymic Games in Tokyo
Matea Jelić won the first Croatian olympic gold medal in taekwondo in history. In the finals, in a very tough fight, she defeated the British girl, Lauren Williams. Matea Jelić (of age 23, height 1.83 m) was born in 1997 in the city of Knin, a former Croatian royal city. Her achievement is one of the greatest successes in the history of Croatian sports. She is training in the city of Split, as a member of the Taekwondo Club Marjan. Toni Kanajet, a member of the same club, won a precious bronze medal.

Yoko Nishii's concert in Tokamachi on the occasion of Croatia's participation at 2021 Olympic Games in Japan
On the occasion of the participation of the Republic of Croatia at the 2021 Olympic Games in Japan, Yoko Nishii, Japanese pianist, gave a concert in the city of Tokamachi. The city is marked with Japan Croatia Friendship House, as a special sign of friendship between the two countries. Yoko Nishii is fluent in Croatian language, and she had as many as 50 soloist concerts in 24 Croatian cities.

Croatia 21st among 107 countries at 2021 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO)
Here are individual results of the members of the IMO math team representing Croatia: Bernard Inkert (gold), Ivan Vojvodić (silver), Krešimir Nežmah (silver), Andrej Čizmarević (bronze), Dorijan Lendvaj (bronze), Jakov Ljubičić (bronze). The leader of the team was Matija Bašić, while Josip Pupić was deputy leader. Young Croatian team has surpassed such mathematical super-powers like India and Japan. Among 27 countries of the European Union, Croatia occupied excellent 6th place. The IMO (Internationl mathematical Olympiad) was organized by Sankt Peterburg in the Russian Federation, but due to the current pandemic, the competition took place at a distance.

Marko Marulic 1450-1524 Croatian Renaissance writer published "Judith" in 1521
Marko Marulić, distinguished Croatian Renaissance writer, wrote his Judita (Judith) in 1501, and published in Venice in 1521 (i.e., 500 years ago), for which he says expressly to be written in the Croatian verses (versi harvatski). Some of his original verses are held in Glasgow (GB). His Judith was translated into English, Hungarian, French, Italian, and some parts into Spanish. Marulic's De institutione bene vivendi, published in 1506, was translated into Italian, German (five editions between 1583 and 1614, all in Koeln, in parts already in 1568), French (7 editions, the first one in 1585), Flemish, Japanese (in Nagasaki, in parts, 1585), Portuguese, and Czech, in altogether 40 editions.
