Acclaimed for his "œuntiring and unstinting attention to every detail of phrasing" Canadian violinist Emmanuel Vukovich is emerging internationally as an artist of technical virtuosity, musical integrity, and artistic maturity.  He has performed as soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral leader across North and South America, Europe, and Australia.  Grand-prize winner of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition as first violinist of the former Lloyd Carr-Harris String Quartet and recipient of the inaugural Schulich Golden Violin Award, Dr. Vukovich is the founder and artistic director of The Parcival Project, an international artistic collaborative which has toured North and South America.

Upcoming highlights include the release of a solo debut album and international release tour "Resilience" inspired by the musical legacy of Bela Bartok recorded in 2022 by renowned tonmeister Martha de Francisco and produced by Leaf Music & Latitude 45 Arts.  Collaborating with pianist Katherine Dowling, this project includes the world premieres of Resilient Earth - four solo violin Caprices by Sheila Silver written for Vukovich in 2021, a newly revised Sonata for violin & piano by Dinuk Wijeratne, Sprung Testament & Patina by Zosha Di Castri, and Bartok's monumental Solo Violin Sonata. This project also includes a selection of Bartok's Slavic, Rumanian, and Turkish folk melodies archived at Columbia University and recently made publicly available for the first time.

Recent highlights include performing the Beethoven Violin Concerto with Maestro Jens Georg Bachmann and the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra at the Staller Centre for the Performing Arts and Schubert's Fantasy for Violin & Piano in his debut performance at Carnegie's Weill Hall with pianist Andrew Armstrong. As a three-time recipient of The Canada Council for the Arts Musical Instrument Bank, Vukovich plays on a violin crafted in 1753 by Johannes Baptiste Guadagnini, in Milan, Italy, and a violin made for him in 2018 by Mira Gruszow and Gideon Baumblatt in Berlin, Germany which won the double Gold Medal at the Violin Society of America International Luthier's Competition.

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Vukovich studied with Dorothy Delay at The Juilliard School Pre-College and College divisions and continued his studies with Denise Lupien and Andre Roy at McGill University's Schulich School of Music while completing a degree in Environmental Studies at McGill's School of Environment. Vukovich completed his Master of Music and Graduate Diploma with Donald Weilerstein, Lucy Chapman, and Soovin Kim, at the New England Conservatory of Music and his Doctor of Musical Arts at Stony Brook University with Philip Setzer and Eugene Drucker. His lecture recital presented the premiere performance of an original composition for solo violin, string quartet and African drum ensemble Parzival & Feirefiz - A New Grail Narrative collaboratively co-created with composer John McDowell.
