TOKYO

Three concerts with Marija Vidović (soprano) and Yoko Nishii (piano) were held in Tokyo, Tokamachi, and Osaka.

The concert at Europa House in Tokyo was coorganised by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Japan and EU delegation to Japan, on the occasion of celebrating

  • the Croatian Statehood Day
  • the 10th Anniversary of the EU membership
  • the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Croatia and Japan.

The concert in Tokamachi-City was coorganised by Tokamachi City and the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Japan, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Croatia and Japan & the 20th Anniversary of Friendhship between Tokamachi city and Croatia.

THe concert in Osaka was organised by the newly appointed Honorary Consul Mr. Shigeki Ebi, celebrating the Opening of the Consulate of the Republic of Croatia in Osaka, in addition to the above-mentioned anniversaries.

In Tokyo at the beginning of the ceremony, anthems of the Republic of Croatia, Japan, and EU were performed. Then there were four official speeches before the concert;

  1. Amb Dražen Hrastić (Republic of Croatia)
  2. Amb Jean-Eric Paquet (EU)
  3. State Minister Kenji Yamada, MoFA (Japan)
  4. minister Taro Kono (Japan)

After the concert, there was a beautiful reception (buffet) arranged by Mrs. Blaženka Hrastić
with a tost speech by Mr. Zlatko Mateša.

In Tokamachi there were speeches by Mr. Yoshifumi Sekiguchi, the Mayor of Tokamachi City and Amb Dražen Hrastić.

In Osaka there were three speeches before the concert;

  1. Amb Dražen Hrastić
  2. Amb Tsutomu Himeno
  3. Mr. Shigeki Ebi

After the concert, there was a beautiful reception (buffet) with a toast speech by Mr. Yasuhide Nakayama (former State Minister of Defense).
