» Miro Gavran's great international success: Grand-Prix in Russia

  Miro Gavran's plays have recently been performed in Russia, Austria and Poland with great success. His play "My Wife's Husband", performed under the direction of outstanding Russian artist Alexander Ogarjev, obtained three important prizes, among others the Grand-Prix for the best overall performance.

Henry Suzzallo (1875-1933) was president of the University of Washington from 1915 to 1926. The central library of the University of Washington is called Suzzallo Library. His parents Petar and Ana Suzzallo, Croatians originating from Dalmatia, arrived to San Francisco in 1852.

The Lipik Kursalon is one of the most important Thermal Health Centers in Europe, together with Baden Baden (Germany) and Karlove Vary (Czechia). It was almost completely destroyed during the Serbian agression on Croatia in 1991.
