» Abortion in Croatia is Down 90% Since 1989

Croatia has experienced a very dramatic drop in the abortion rate from 1989 when the nation's 51,289 abortions were nearly equal to the number of live births. The latest statistics, from 2005, indicate there were 4,563 abortions - a drop of nearly 90% since 1989.  Significantly the law on abortion has not changed.

Annie Plenkovich, 17, went missing from the Missoula Public Library on Wednesday afternoon. Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 30's or 40's with thinning hair with glasses. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with an unzipped jacket, and a light colored T-shirt.

66 Lipizzan horses stolen from the Lipik Stud during the Serbian aggression on Croatia in 1991 has been returned. This is a part of about 300 Croatian Lipizzans kept in Serbia, belonging to the Lipik Stud, counting progeny. A part of them starved from hunger and inappropriate treatment.
