Dear All, It's been a long time since the last editorial. Not that we didn't do much, but on the contrary, a lot is happening. Let's start with the forum. The CROWN forum is open. It will introduce a greater degree of interactivity between CROWN, its members and people interested in Croatia and its culture. To access the forum, point your browser to www.croatia.org/forum and register. Marko Puljic is the moderator. Please email him at marko@croatia.org with questions or suggestions, or simply post a few questions on the forum. Read yesterdays postings from Prof. Ana and Matko Marusic, Co-Editors in Chief, Croatian Medical Journal, See what is Matko Jelavic saying about status of Croatian Pop Music vs turbofolk and what do we have to do. Read Ivo Puscenik from Lipik. Discuss and come to some conclusions, because only discussion is just a vent not a medicine. I want to thank Emil Jakovcevic from www.Konoba.com who designed the forum (emil@croatia.org) and Marko Puljic who will run it. I also try never to forget Eugenij Lezaja who designed first the CROWN website at www.croatianworld.net which helped CROWN be what it is today. The Croatian Constellation is happening. So far these are four websites that have found a common interest and sensibility: www.croatia.org , www.croatianhistory.net , www.studiacroatica.org and www.croatianworldcalendar.com run by the team of people. Darko Zubrinic (Croatia - thank you for the icon for the URL that we now share - Glagolitic letter), Joza Vrljicak (Argentina), Marko Puljic (USA, St Louis), Katarina Cuvalo (USA California), Emil Jakovcevic (USA California) and myself Nenad Bach (USA New York), plus many correspondents around the world including our very active and consistent Violi Calvert from Sydney Australia. (Thank you for inclusion of Crown on Australian Handball webpage) We expect more websites to be part of this Croatian Constellation, but we talk the talk and walk the walk, slowly... and the synergy is great. The articles? As you can see it for yourself it is an amazing variety of talent and achievements. Just look at these faces and photos and if you are not impressed, you have already died but you don't realize it yet. Croatia and Croatians are making progress on many levels. We are regrouping after a huge setback that happened in the war. We took that negative energy and spin it into positive and creative one. Our "dvojac bez kormilara" is finally standing tall in protection of Croatian interest vs. powers that want everything from us: sea, market, ecological zone and garbage landfills. We are becoming more savvy players in the arena of International Politics. Endless questions and places to improve especially with dialog among Croatians living outside of Croatia. That untapped potential is the biggest secret that has been kept silent. It is time to wake up and not just smell the coffee, but to drink it. Svako dobro, Nenad N. Bach New York, March 5, 2008 If you recommend someone that you know, to receive CROWN newsletter, send their name and email address to: data@croatia.org with CROWN DATA , their email and their name in the subject line.
And the best is yet to come....
