Devoted to Harrison (David Strathairn) and their family, she decides to find him, with only her love and emotional resources to help her."  -- Desson Howe,

I had this idea about Vis--NATO base long ago, in the early nineties. But I changed my mind about it. It would pollute the Adriatic and bring along more damage to Croatia than benefit; It would pollute the air, the water, and the soul of the people and the country.  Re: "Anti-Terrorism Requires Nation Building," by Matthew Kaminski, Op-Ed, March 15, 2002  To the Editor:  Matthew Kaminski makes a compelling argument concerning the US military's role in stemming Islamic fundamentalism in Bosnia-Herzegovina. However, he fails to address what is necessary for the successful conclusion of America's mission in that country.  The primary problem

Letters to the Editor Los Angeles Times Los Angeles, CA  Dear Editor:  Re: "Yugoslavia No More" (3/15/02), - Of all the nationalities that once comprised former Yugoslavia, it will only be the Serbs who will feel regrets at its demise.  Dear folks: George Bogdanich has been getting excellent press. Set forth below is a review of his movie which appeared in today's NY Times. Coincidentally (?), the paper trashed Harrison's Flower's. As I write, I am listening to Bogdanich being interviewed on our local National Public Radio station. You may be able to listen to the interview later today at http://www.wnyc.org/new/talk/nyandco/nyconew   Luckily, the i
