Professor Igor Štagljar and his team of scientists in Toronto began developing an original biological method for the identification of new proteins involved in the development of cancer. This method paved the way for the research of grave genetic diseases, particularly cystic fibrosis.

Božidar Finka 1925-1999 was distignuished Croatian linguist, a member of Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. This article has been published on the occasion of 10th year anniversary of his death. He is one of the authors of the Croatian orthography prepared in  1971.

The International Trust for Croatian Monuments was founded in London in 1991 in response to damage and destruction of monuments of culture in Croatia caused by war. One of the the aims is to raise awareness of the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Croatia. The Trust has been founded by  Lady Jadranka Beresford-Peirse, on the photo.

Klapa singing in Croatia is a unique phenomenon of European culture. The phenomenon has been enriched in the past few years by  existence of children's klapas. The City Library in Zadar, Croatia, organizes the annual Children Festival of Klapa Singing since 2006. Each year it is becoming more and more popular and widespread. One of the principal proponents of klapa singing in Croatia is Ljubo Stipišić Delmata.

Andrea Kulier who is only 17-years-old will graduate from California State Los Angeles University and attend Princeton in the fall to study cosmology. Kulier and her family immigrated to the U.S. from Croatia. While most in her age group are graduating high school, Andrea Kulier received dual bachelor's degrees and is on course for a PhD.

The project is aimed for children 3-6 years of age, to teach healthy children not to be afraid of a physician: doctors and healing are presented in a way comprehensive to children, through "healing" children's toys.
