» LADO prestigious Croatian national folklore ensemble visited Japan in 2006

LADO is one of the most famous folklore national ensembles in the world, founded in 1949. The following impression illustrates reactions of the public on the concerts of LADO in Japan in 2006: "... If I were born again, I would like to be born a Croat, so I could dance these beautiful dances with LADO" On the photo Mrs. Ivana Laušić, director of the LADO ensemble, and His excellency Mr. Tetsuhisa Shirakawa, Ambassador of Japan in Croatia.

Dr Kathleen Vaughan Wilkes is a productive, respected, and influential philosopher who has through her activities not only significantly helped Croatia's struggle for independence and defence from the Great Serbian aggressors but she helped and is still helping the development of the Croatian academic community. It is our honour to positively evaluate and whole-heartedly support the proposition to give Kathleen Vaughan Wilkes an honorary doctoral degree of the University of Zagreb. Zagreb, 27 March 2001. Ivana Marija Vidović on the left For the first time the Epidarus Festival Plus in Cavtat has been organized in the house of distinguished Croatian painter Vlaho Bukovac (1855-1922). This was a real feast of art, music and the surrounding nature, interwoven with emotions of guests and musicians. The central event took place on 4th July, celebrating Vlaho's birthday, with participation of two distinguished Spanish musiscians:MarĂ­a Esther GuzmĂĄn playing guitar and Luis Orden with flute. With superb organization of Ivana Marija Vidović, distinuished Croatian pianist, poet and humanist, founder and director of the Epiduarus Festival during the past six years, on the photo with a girl wearing local Konavle dress.

The Croatian Stenographic Society was founded by Isidor Kršnjavi 5 years before the Intersteno itself was founded in 1887, in the London Geological Museum. On the photo Josip Hanjš, the current president of the Croatian Stenographic Society (Hrvatsko stenografsko društvo), and former world champion in stenography.

Brigita Matić, young Croatian judo master, became European champion by winning in a match with a Russian girl  Ekaterina Tokareva. The Eruopean Judo Championship was organized in Montenegro in the town of Bar, 22-24 June 2012. Her sister Barbara Matić was European judo cadet champion in 2010. Brigita Matić is a member of the Judo Club Pujanke from the city of Split (JK Pujanke - Split), Croatia.

Otto Piene and Ante Glibota on the photo are two champions in this voluminous book.
