This appeal was sent by Mr. Miro Gavran, distinguished Croatian writer and the current president of Matica hrvatska (Matrix croatica), to several world leaders: Mr Joe Biden, President of the USA, Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic; The French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Mr Olaf Scholz, federal chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Holiness Pope Francis, Mr Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations. Let us help Bosnia and Herzegovina become a country of equal nations and citizens, and to help open and secure the way for the country to become a member of European and Euro-Atlantic integrations.

Here is Tesla's description of Martin Sekulić, his professor of Physics at the Higher Real School in Rakovac (near the city of Karlovac in Croatia, when Tesla was at the age of 14-17): I had become intensely interested in electricity under the stimulating influence of my Professor of Physics, who was an ingenious man and often demonstrated the principles by apparatus of his own invention... It is impossible for me to convey an adequate idea of the intensity of feeling I experienced in witnessing his exhibitions of these mysterious phenomena. The Gong of World Peace, donated by the Republic of Indonesia, was officially unveiled in the city of Vukovar on September 22nd, 2019, by H.E. Mr. Dyujoto Suntani, president of the World Peace Council, and Mr. Ivan Penava, mayor of the city of Vukovar, on the photo. It was placed in a local park, which was decorated by the works of art of distinguished Croatian artist Mr. Ante Sardelić Kraljević, living in Canada. The decorations include messages written in Croatian Glagolitic Script. In the cultural program, a group of Kumpanija Dancers participated, originating from the town of Blato on the Croatian island of Korčula, in which Mr. Sardelić was born.

Roger Federer until Borna's win No 1 on the ATP list. Borna Ćorić's coach is Ivan Ljubičić, distinguished former Croatian tennis player.

Ivan Padovec 1800-1873 (known also as Johann Padowetz or Jean Padowetz), was distinguished Croatian guitar player and composer. His original compositions reveal virtuosity of a great master. He also composed pieces for guitar accompanied with other string instruments. During his lifetime he had numerous concerts concerts not only in Croatia, but throughout Europe: in Vienna, Graz, Prague, Brno, Budapest, Frankfurt, Hannover, Hamburg, London, etc. He constructed a ten string guitar with two necks, which is kept in the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb. In 2006 the Mel Bey publishing company in the USA has issued his collected works. Padovec was born in the city of Varaždin, known for its Baroque architecture and a rich music tradition.

Mervan Pašić and Darko Žubrinić, two Croatian mathematicians from the University of Zagreb, had a great honour to have been invited to Japan in November 2012, to the University of Science in Okayama, and to the prestigious Research Institute of Mathematical Sciences (RIMS) of the University of Kyoto. They both delivered two lectures at two international meetings. In Kyoto they both had 50 min. lectures. The conferences have been superbly organized by Professors Hiroyuki Usami, Satoshi Tanaka and Yuki Naito. On the photo Professors Hiroyuki Usami and Mervan Pašić.

"This gold medal is fantastic," said Cernogoraz, who in his daily life helps out in his family's restaurant in Novigrad. "This is very good for me, for my family and for the country. I did not expect to win." This is the second gold medal for Croatia at the 2012 Olympics Games in London.

Ivica Dundović and Livio Marijan are winners of a prestitigious European Folklore Festival organized from 10th to 20th July 2012 in Bargas in Bulgaria, under the auspices of UNESCO. Besides the gold medal they also won the black orpheus, a prize of the public, the recommendation for the World Folklore Festival, and are recipients of a special diploma "Revelation of the Festival". They were singing old, almost forgotton Croatian songs from Dalmatia, including traditional Glagolitic songs from the town of Kali on the island of Ugljan.
» Passion Heritage of Croatians in The Danube Region conference held in Sombor 2012
Mrs Marija Šeremešić initiated organizing the international conference dealing with the Passion Heritage among Croatians in the Danube Region. It was held in the lovely town of Sombor, in cooperation with the local Croatian society called Urbani Šokci directed by Mrs Šeremešić, and by the Agency for Culture of Vojvodina Croatians from Subotica, directed by Mr Tomislav Žigmanov. The conference was superbly organized and very successful.
