Gostovanje hrvatskih glazbenica u Armeniji U dvorani Konzervatorija Komitas (uz klavir) i Komornoj dvorani (uz orgulje) u glavnom gradu Armenije Erevanu održan je u prosincu ove godine koncert hrvatskih glazbenica gđe Eve Kirchmayer Bilić i gđe Klasje Modrušan. Izvedene su skladbe hrvatskih skladatelja za glas i klavir, glas i orgulje, klavir solo i orgulje solo, uz kraće predavanje o hrvatskoj povijesti, umjetnosti i glazbi, s naglaskom na hrvatsku vokalnu glazbu. U Erevanu u Armeniji su nastupile dvije poznate hrvatske glazbenice - Klasja Modrušan i Eva Kirchmayer Bilić - u sklopu projekta "Predavanje o hrvatskoj glazbi i koncert skladbi hrvatskih skladatelja", 3. i 4. prosinca 2019. u Erevanu. Already from her first debut in the performance of Purcell'€™s Dido and Aeneas, soprano Klasja Modrušan won praise from fans and critics for her sincere, inspiring musical expression, interpretation, and the beauty of her voice. She studied cello under professor Ksenija Janković and solo singing, then specialized in Lied and oratorio under professor Zdenka Žabčić - Hesky at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. Parallel to winning a cello position in the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, she extensively works on her singing education under professor Eva Blahova in Bratislava, and under the celebrated Croatian mezzo-soprano Ruža Pospiš Baldani. She has performed at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Varaždin Baroque Evenings, Musical Evening at St. Donat, Osor Musical Evenings, Festival of Croatian Music in Vienna, Rovinj Summer Festival, Piran Musical Evenings, Cultural manifestation Week of Israel - Zagreb. She made performances with the Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio Television, such as charity concert entitled Children of Croatia in the full Max-Joseph Saal auditorium in Munich and world premiere of the newly discovered piece Oratorio per il Santo Natale by Leonardo Leo. She has performed with the Zagreb and Sarajevo Philharmonic, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, South Czech Philharmonic, Zagreb Soloists, Cappella Istropolitana, Croatian Chamber Orchestra in Croatia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia, Germany, Slovenia, Russia and Czech Republic. She received the 2006 artist award given by the US music center IMCA from California for her outstanding artistic work, and gave several recitals in the US universities and the Croatian Embassy in Washington. Upon Pope John Paul II's visit to Croatia in 1998, she recorded a CD Jewels of Sacred Music. Her second CD Dreams includes works by Croatian composers is issued 2011. She gave her opera debut in 2005 playing role of Pamina in the Croatian National Theater Opera in Zagreb. She has performed in operas The Magic Flute (Pamina, Papagena), Don Giovanni (Donna Anna), Don Carlos (Tebaldo), Rigoletto (Gilda, Giovanna), Hansel and Gretel (Sandmann /Tau- mann), Carmen (Micaela), as well as in Croatian operas Nikola Šubić Zrinski by Ivan Zajc, Mirjana by Josip Mandić, Adel and Mara by Josip Hatze and Jelka by Blagoje Bersa. She has cooperated with conductors Nikša Bareza, Pavle Dešpalj, Vladimir Kranjčević, Mladen Tarbuk, Miran Vaupotić, Frank Shipway, Daniel Lipton, Klaus Arp, Johannes Wildner, Michael Helmrath, Mihael Sinkevič and Dejan Savić. She is a member of the Croatian Society of Music Artists and a head of Voice Department at the Blagoje Bersa Music School in Zagreb. Eva Kirchmayer Bilić studied and graduated piano at the Zagreb Academy of Music by prof. Stjepan Radić. At the Institute for Church Music she studied organ (1985-90) in the class of prof. Immaculate Malinka. As a DAAD sholar she studied in Germany at the Hochschule fuer Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt-Main in the class of Andreas Meyer-Hermann (1993/94). She studied in masterclasses with prominent piano teachers and Lied (Art song) interpretation in Frankfurt, Zagreb and Brussels. Since 2016 she has collaborated with her colleague Davor Ljubić in Piano duo Concordia. She received the Rector's Award (1992), as well as numerous awards at student competitions of Croatia as a soloist and member of chamber ensembles. She has done numerous performances and recordings for Croatian Radio and Television, she performed as soloist playing piano and organ, and as soloist with orchestra with the Croatian conductors, and as a chamber musician, collaborating with many prominent instrumental and leading Croatian vocal soloists, chamber ensembles, choirs and orchesters, playing the piano, harpsichord and organ. She recorded several albums and has performed throughout her homeland, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Egypt, Ukraine and the United States of America (Wisconsin). She participates regularly as a pianist-artistic associate or even as producer at international master seminars for singers. She is producer of many musical performances and events. Her passion for music manifests in the fact she is a music writer / publicist. She is co-author of textbooks for Music Education for Elementary Schools. At the Department of singing of the Academy of Music she participates in singing classes, opera performances, vocal-piano duo and Croatian vocal heritage as an accompanist - artistic associate.
