A memoir, Escape from Despair, is a compelling and dramatic true story of hopeful immigrants. Under pretty terrible circumstances, a mother struggles to bring six children to the United States. Their journey is one of false hopes, the successes, and the failures.
The author, Katarina Tepesh, is one of the six children.
