Hrvojka Mihanovic Salopek and her Stella Maris project of St. Mary's heritage
 | Dr. Hrvojka Mihanović Salopek is the leader of an important project Stella Maris - Sea Star, devoted to centuries of St. Mary's heritage in Croatia in the broadest sense: from church architecture and sacral paintings to church music, poetry, literature and Croatian Lenten chants. Till now the project resulted in 5 excellent DVD's which describe an important part of 13 centuries of Croatian spirituality and culture in Europe.

Joseph Haydn Austrian and Croatian composer died 200 years ago
 | Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), a famous Austrian and Croatian composer, died 200 years ago, May 31. He was born in a Croatian ethnic enclave in Burgenland (Gradišće) in Austria. Joseph Haydn composed a lovely melody which is based on a very old Croatian folk song. He named it Volkslied (Folk song), and later it became the Austrian national anthem. This melody is the contemporary German national anthem that everybody knows. |

She won the Best of Animation Award in 1974 at the International Film Festival in Switzerland for the film "Why Not?", the Presidential Award in 1992 for the environmental film "Think Earth", and lectured on animation at UCLA, LACC, and Cal Arts. |

Croatian one minute film festival in Pozega May 29-30 2009
 | The festival jury in Požega has received 454 films from 43 countries worldwide. Sixty films were chosen for the official programme, to be shown on May 29-30 2009. This is already 17th annual festival with a high international reputation.

Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic overall winner of the World Cup Finn Class 2009
 | Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO) is the overall winner in the Finn class at the 41st Semaine Olympique Française in Hyeres Friday. This was his first Grade 1 win in the class. Another Croatian Marin Mišura won the fifth place at the same competition. Croatia and GB are the only countries with two representatives among 10 most successful competitors.

Sofia Mulanovich Peruvian surfer of Croatian descent inducted in Olympic Museum

The Vukovar Hospital 1991, important monograph about its tragedy

Museum of Frogs in Lokve, Croatia
