Communications device is being tested now in Croatia

It has been more than ten years since the United States fought a major battle in the Gulf.  Since then, they have developed a number of new high tech weapons and devices.

With military crews on alert tonight preparing for action in Iraq, a local company is helping to keep America safe with some breakthrough new technology that may even be used in Iraq.

A military tool called an Electronic Translator was developed by Lockheed Martin.  The device lets the holder speak in English, then it translates the phrase and also translates the answer back to English.

The Communications device is being tested now in Croatia, but will come in handy for other troops and peacekeepers.
