» Yoko Nishii's concert in Porec promoting Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Croatian Olympic Committee

Poreč je 13. i 14. rujna 2019. ugostio kampanju Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora i zemlju domaćina idućih ljetnih Olimpijskih igara - Japan, odnosno glavnog grada domaćina Tokija u cilju da širu javnost upozna s hrvatskim natjecateljima kao i gradom domaćinom na Olimpijadi. U petak 13. rujna 2019. u kazališnoj dvorani Pučkog otvorenog učilišta Poreč japanska pijanistica Yoko Niishi održala je koncert, u kojem izvela odabrana djela hrvatske skladateljice Dore Pejačević, Franza Liszta i Sergeia Rachmaninoffa.

Top quality grapes from the stone vineyards and excellent taste of wines are the results of a special microclimate, its position by the sea and a full day of direct sun exposure, on average 2600 hours per year. This microclimate allows high-quality grape-growing that is extract and healthy for the production of white and red varieties. Bura acts as a fan that ventilates the grapes in the bedrock base, and at night cold air from Velebit, which descends towards the sea gives pleasure to create the most powerful extract. The director of the Royal Vineyards (Kraljevski vinogradi) is Zoran Pantalon.

Professor Radoslav Katičić was born in Croatia's capital Zagreb in 1930, where he studied philology and earned his PhD. During the period of 1960-61 he was a stipendist of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Tuebingen. After the return to the University of Zagreb, he became a docent on Indo-European and general linguistics. Soon after, he served as a head of the newly formed Department for General Linguistics and Oriental Studies. In 1966 he became associate, and in 1973 full professor. Beside general and Indo-European linguistics, he also taught Old Iranian and Old Indic philology. In 1977 he became full professor of Slavic philology at the University of Vienna, Austria.

Miro Gavran is the greatest contemporary Croatian playwright. His plays have been translated into as many as 41 languages worldwide. During the following two months, from the end of August till October 2019, nine of his plays will be shown in nine countries: Germany, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Nigeria, in his native Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Turkey and in Czechia. About 1000 actors in Croatia and thoughout the world participated in his plays. He had about 1300 public literary appearances in Croatia and worldwide. He is a honorable member of the Russian Literary Society in Moscow.

U organizaciji festivala klasične glazbe Piano piu piano iz Trenta dubrovačke pijanistice Ivana Marija Vidović i Vesna Miletić održale su prošlog tjedna koncert za pamćenje. Održan u prekrasnom srednjovjekovnom gradu Cavalese podno impresivnih Dolomita, pobudio je odličan odaziv educirane, probrane i zainteresirane publike koja je sve pažljivo pratila te izmamila i dva dodatka. Na programu su bila zastupljena djela Mendelssohna, Schuberta, Debussyija, Faurea a nadasve ih je raznježio Andante iz 3. simfonije Luke Sorkočevića.

Stipe Miocic is a Croatian American mixed martial artist and firefighter-paramedic. In 2019 he won the title of the UFC champion. UFC is the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he competes in the heavyweight division. This was his fourth win of the UFC title, which is unique achievement the history of this competition. He is now at the age of 37 and his height is 1.93 m. With his wife Ryan Marie he has a daughter Meelah Grace (Meelah = mila in Croatian = dear).

Spisateljica i novinarka Carmen Vrlhicak Verlichak, MSc, postala je redovitom članicom Argentinske akademije znanosti i umjetnosti, u razredu za komunikacije. Vrljicak je jedina Hrvatica u Argentini koja je član te Akademije. Ceremoniji je u centru grada Buenos Airesa nazočila i veleposlanica Republike Hrvatske u Argentini, gospođa Duška Paravić. CROWN čestita gospođi Carmen Verlichak na članstvu u Argentinskoj akademiji znanosti i umjetnosti.

Japanese students and teachers arrived in Zagreb on March, 21st 2019. They were wellcomed by students and teachers from Gimnazija Sesvete at Franjo Tuđman airport. The program consisted of multimedial presentations and workshops which presented Gimnazija Sesvete, Croatian educational system, attractions, beauty and culture of Zagreb and Croatia. Japanese students from Nagoya also presented their school, city and talked about education in Japan. The main purpose of this event was promotion of music as a universal way of connecting people as well as promoting school choir singing.

Marko is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Zagreb, Croatia. He was a participant in the 2011 Salzburg Festival's Young Singers Project, and reached the final of Cardiff Singer of the World in 2013. In 2008 Marko made his professional debut at the Croatian National Theatre, Zagreb. On the concert platform, Marko made his debut at the BBC Proms in 2014 in a performance of Salome conducted by Donald Runnicles. Further appearances have included the Verdi Requiem with the Rundfunk Choir, Berlin and for the Deutsche Oper, Berlin; Creon Oedipus Rex with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai in Torino, Modena, Ferrara and in Napoli with the Orchestra e Coro del Teatro San Carlo; etc.
