Miro Gavran's play Dr. Freud's Patient will be premiering at the Na Pradle Theatre in Prague, the Czech Republic, on Nov. 6, 2007.  On Nov. 15 Gavran's novel Judith will be launched in at the Retezova Literary Café, also in Prague. Another great success of outstanding Croatian writer.

Toronto Croatia didn't score a goal in the second leg of their Canadian Soccer League championship series with the Serbian White Eagles. It turns out they didn't need one, meaning Croatia's 4-1 victory in Saturday's first leg was enough to give the Mississauga, Ont.-based team the title.

The concert of Zagreb Soloists is held under high patronage of Dr. Heinz Fischer, president of the Republic of Austria. Klapa Sinj, the most famous Croatian Klapa in the world, performs on Nov 15th 2007.

Seventh seed Ivo Karlovic sent former world number one Lleyton Hewitt packing from the Japan Open with a 7-6 (5) 7-6 (6) victory over the fourth seed. The Croatian number two counted on 25 aces to overcome Australia's Hewitt, and in-so-doing became only the fourth player to hit 1,000 aces in one season.

The absurdly light or no prison terms handed out to the three most responsible for the Vukovar massacres and torture are not consistent with the crimes. It was not a lack of evidence but a devaluation of the crimes, or more accurately, the lives of the victims and all of us.
