Mottaki stresses expansion of Iran-Croatia ties

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Monday that expansion of all -out ties with Croatia enjoys priority in Iran's foreign diplomacy. There are great potentials in both countries for further promotion of bilateral economic relations particularly in the energy sector, said Mottaki in a farewell meeting with the outgoing Croatian Ambassador to Tehran Marjan Kombol.

"Since diversification of energy resources is a priority for European states, Tehran is ready to cooperate with its European friends, particularly Croatia, in that regard," he added. For his part, Kombol referred to Iran-Croatia relations as historic and profound and announced that bilateral contacts would continue at the highest possible level. The Iranian nation enjoys a rich culture and civilization, he said terming prospects of bilateral cooperation as very bright.
