Savjet Vlade RH je savjetodavno tijelo koje joj pruža pomoć u stvaranju politike,aktivnosti i programa u odnosu na Hrvate izvan Republike Hrvatske. Imenuju se na prijedlog hrvatskih zajednica iz država iz kojih dolaze, na mandat od 4 godine. Zastupljenost Hrvata izvan Republike Hrvatske u Savjetu Vlade RH određuje se sukladno brojnosti i značaju Hrvata u dotičnoj državi, aktivnosti i povezanosti zajednice s Republikom Hrvatskom, kao i radu na afirmaciji ugleda i interesa Republike Hrvatske. Tako će bosansko hercegovački Hrvati imati 9, hrvatske manjine u europskim i susjednim zemljama 17, a hrvatsko iseljeništvo - 29 predstavnika.

Zajednice Hrvata svoje će predstavnike u Savjet Vlade RH predlagati iz redova najznačajnijih i najbrojnijih udurga, organizacija, institucija ili drugih oblika organizacija, osoba koje su uvažene u sredinama u kojima žive, angažirane na očuvanju i jačanju hrvatskog identiteta svojih zajednica i na unapređenju odnosa sa svojom domovinom.

Poziv za izbor predstavnika hrvatskih zajednica u Savjet Vlade RH otvoren je do 10.studenog 2012.

The Government Council is an advisory body that offers aid in creating the policies, activities and programs in relation to Croats outside of the Republic of Croatia. They will be appointed based on the suggestions of the Croatian communities from their countries of origin, for a term of 4 years. The representation of Croats outside the Croatian Government in the Council shall be determined in accordance with the number and importance of the Croats in the country concerned, activities and links of the community with the Republic of Croatia, and to work on the promotion of the reputation and interests of the Republic of Croatian. Thus Bosnian Herzegovinian Croats will have 9, the Croatian minorities in Europe and neighboring countries 17, and Croatian immigrants - 29 representatives.

Community's activities will nominate representatives to the Council of the Government from among the most their most important and numerous societies, organization, institution, or other forms of organization, people who are respected in the communities in which they live, engaged in the preservation and strengthening of the Croatian identity of their communities and to improve relations with its homeland.

The call for the nomination of representatives of the Croatian community in the Government Council is open to November 10, 2012.
