We are a big family, not an international organization

Professor Branko Katlinić on the left, with impressive bell in front of him that he obtained as a gift from the delegation of Russian scientists at one of previous DAAAM conferences.

But this year a new, even larger bell has arrived as a gift from the University of Vienna. Professor Katalinić tested it with a hammer in his hands, to a great pleasure of the audience.

Four years earlier, at the 2005 DAAAM Conference organized in the famous Croatian tourist resort Opatija, Dr. Ueda was also the president of the Prize Committee. Source

On September 21st 1991, in time when Croatia was seriously threatened by the Serbian aggression, "A Coordination Headquarter for Help to Croatia" had been founded in Vienna by professor Branko Katalinić and Mr. Perica Vučemilović, securing humanitarian aid. For more details see an article published in the monograph "Women in Homeland War" by Ms. Cika Mikolčić.

I express my deep gratitude to Professor Branko Katalinić for his kind invitation to participate at the opening ceremony of the 2009 DAAAM Conference in Vienna, while I visited the Technical University of Vienna for other reasons. For those wishing to know more details about his very interesting projects, please visit the DAAAM web pages.
