Peterborough's Amy Ireland and her partner Michael Bahoric, a Croatian and Canadian citizen, will be competing in senior pairs for Croatia at the ISU European figure skating championships in Zagreb, Croatia, Jan. 21-28.

They will be competing against teams from France, Great Britian, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and ISR.

They live part-time and train in Richmond Hill, as well as at the Evinrude Centre.

Ireland, who has skated with the Peterborough and Lakefield clubs, is currently in her third year at Trent University taking the Bachelor of Science nursing program.
