May 19* Depart your home cities and rendezvous for our transatlantic flight to Europe

May 20 Sunday Arrive Europe
Local time will be morning when we connect with our
Croatian Air flight from Frankfurt to Croatia. Arrive at
the Dubrovnik airport south of the city, meet with our
tour guide and motorcoach driver and head to nearby
Dubrovnik. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the dramatic
Adriatic coast en route to check in at our hotel President
on Babin Kuk Peninsula. After some free time to get
acclimated, rendezvous for a Welcome to Croatia dinner
with musical entertainment at the Linđo restaurant on
Babin Kuk peninsula (or similar). Overnight at our first
class hotel. Hotel President. D

May 21 Monday Dubrovnik
After breakfast begin a guided sightseeing tour of the Old City.  Highlights include visits to the Rectory, the old Pharmacy, St. Blaze cathedral, and many other ancient sites, the entire walled city is a museum! Once you've learned some of the history and layout of the city, you'll have the afternoon free for private exploration of the thriving city. We rendezvous for a seafood specialty dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at our hotel in Dubrovnik. B, D

May 22 Tuesday Full Day tour of Pelješac Peninsula:
We head north to explore the rugged Peljesac peninsula, which has been inhabited for more than 20,000 years! Well start with boat ride in Ston bay with tasting of mussels and shells harvested in the pristine bay. Continue along the Peljesac peninsula to visit a local vineyard such as the Bartulovic wine cellar. Enjoy a wine tasting event and lunch before we continue to Korčula island for a city sightseeing tour. Well compare and contrast the wines of Korcula with those sampled earlier at another wine cellar visit before we return to the hotel in Dubrovnik for
overnight. Dinner on your own tonight. B, L

May 23 Wednesday Free day in Dubrovnik
Those interested may take an optional excursion to the famous village of Medjugorje by bus : Approximate cost $55 per person. (no lunch included) Others will enjoy
the climate and scenery of the old walled city and the surrounding islands and beaches. Take time to explore the many alleys lined with artist studios and curio shops.
The collection of tiny outdoor restaurants caters to all tastes. Our hotel is ideally situated for a swim in the Adriatic, for those inclined. Dinner on your own and overnight in Dubrovnik area. B

May 24 Thursday Journey up the coast.
We leave Dubrovnik and begin a leisurely drive up the coast. You'll see why this coastline has always been among the world's most beautiful. We'll stop for lunch
in the quaint port town of Makarska, which houses a museum devoted entirely to shellfish! Then drive back
to Drvenik where we take a ferry to Sucuraj pier on Hvar island, drive to Hvar town and our hotel the Amfora/
Adriatic or similar. Dinner at the hotel, overnight on Hvar Island. B, L, D

May 25 Friday Hvar
Our local guide will escort a walking tour of Hvar city complete with a wine tasting event in a local winery so we are sure to learn the different wines from the various regions of Croatia. The beautiful Island of Hvar is an idyllic environment for relaxing and has been frequented by vacationers from Roman times through to this day! After our touring and lunch on own, youll have the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner tonight at our hotel. B, D
May 26 Saturday Free day on an Adriatic Island
A short ferry ride away is the white stone quarry island
of Brac. You can take an optional excursion to Brač island
to visit the town of Puscice and the famous golden sand
beach of Bol. Other local excursions and water sport
events will be available. Enjoy your free time on Hvar! We meet this evening for dinner in a local restaurant.

May 27
Sunday Hvar to Rijeka by Ferry
We will arrange for morning Mass in Hvar town at the ancient stone church. Enjoy the leisurely morning "Dalmatian style" and catch up on local shopping in Hvar.
Afternoon departure to board the ferry to Rijeka sailing this evening from Stari Grad at 17:00 hrs. Overnight onboard the Jadrolinja ferry in double berthed cabins
with shower. Dinner available on board. B

May 28 Monday Ferry
Arrival to Rijeka at 07:00am, disembark the ferry, board our coach and drive inland to Gorski Kotar. We'll stop for a local breakfast near Rijeka in Opatija. Then drive to the Brod Na Kupi region to check in to the local hotel Mance Enroute we'll stop in some of the unique villages of the region. Welcome dinner at our hotel
this evening. B, D

May 29 Tuesday Full day in Gorski Kotar.
We explore the rugged and  scenic Gorski Kotar
region and national park today. A hearty picnic lunch is planned for the group with musical
entertainment for early this afternoon near the Kupa River. Today we will also visit the women
of Tometi who live off the land as our
grandparents did over Cabranka River
100 years ago. They are tough, resilent, strong and beautiful ladies who will share how they "make it" in the hills of Croatia. Tometi
is an isolated small village at the top of a hill on the
outskirts of Cabar. Dinner on own tonight and overnight in Delnice. B, L

May 30 Wednesday Slovenia and Lake Bled
Depart after breakfast for rugged forests of southern Slovenia and the Kocevija region. Woodworking and forestry has sustained the local population for centuries. Some time to have an optional lunch there before we continue to Lake Bled nestled at the foot of the Julianne Alps. Check into our hotel then transfer to nearby
Begunje for dinner at the famous Avsenik gostilna with live musical polka entertainment. Overnight Bled, Hotel Golf. B, D

May 31 Thursday Alpine Slovenia
Today visit the National Park including Bohinj lake with a ride to the top of Mount Vogel by modern cable car. Enjoy a Shepard's style lunch of Bohinj cheese, zgonce, and salami tasting at the Alpine herdsmen Museum at the base of the mountain. Afternoon return to visit lake
Bled island and the castle overlooking the area. Dinner at rustic Lectar restaurant in the medieval village of Radovljica nearby. B, L, D

June 01 Friday Capitol Cities: Ljubljana and Zagreb
We depart Lake Bled this morning and stop in thriving center of Slovenia; Ljubljana where we take an insightful city tour. You'll have some free time for shopping and exploring before our coach continues to Zagreb, the capitol of Croatia. In the afternoon we will visit St. Theresa's orphanage, a special site that has been supported in part by the charitable donations of many Americans for years. Enjoy a special Farewell dinner and overnight at the hotel Dubrovnik. B, D

June 02 Saturday Departure transfer to Zagreb airport for your flight back home. B
