Congratulations to Latica! She was the best among 40 students from Europe, Asia and America competing in her age category of 19 to 23

Latica Anić (19), cello student at the Zagreb Academy of Music, in the class of prof. Valter Dešpalj, won 1st Prize at the Liezen (Austria) International Cello Competition. There were over 40 students  from Europe, Asia and America competing in her age category of 19 to 23. The panel of judges was composed of distinguished professors from music academies in Vienna, Cologne, Ljubljana, Prague and Salzburg. Her interpretations of  demanding works by Boccherini, Beethoven, Elgar and Ligeti  were also met with very enthusiastic applause from the audience.

U austrijskom Liezenu upravo je završeno međunarodno natjecanje mladih violončelista. U kategoriji studenata od 19-23 godine starosti sudjelovalo je preko četrdeset natjecatelja iz Europe, Azije i Amerike. Međunarodni žiri sastavljen od eminentnih profesora akademija u Beču, Kölnu Ljubljani, Pragu i Salzburgu dodijelio je prvu nagradu 19-godišnjoj Latici Anić, studentici violončela iz klase prof. Valtera Dešpalja. Njene izvedbe vrlo zahtjevnih skladbi Boccherinija, Beethovena, Elgara i Ligetija oduševljenim je pljeskom popratila i publika.
