Interhome expands Croatia offering
31 July 2007

Croatia remains at the top of the "wish" list for many British holiday-makers and now there's even more choice for those who want the  "home away from home" experience in this charming Mediterranean destination. Leading holiday home rental specialist, Interhome, has acquired long-standing partner ABC H-Turizam and added a whole host of new villas, farmhouses and apartments throughout the country.

Interhome currently has 800 properties available to rent in Croatia and plans to double this over the next three years. Below are just some of the hidden gems, waiting to be uncovered.

Built only last year "Villa Rosa Canina" is an elegant new property surrounded by vineyards and meadows near the hamlet of Zikovici. Sleeping up to eight people, the air-conditioned villa has four bedrooms, a living room with open fireplace, satellite-TV and DVD player, a kitchen with oven, dishwasher and microwave, plus a sun terrace and garden pavilion ideal for outdoor dining. A beautifully manicured lawn frames a private swimming pool and the house has been tastefully furnished with exposed beams to create a rustic and cosy ambience.

Zikovici provides the ideal starting point for trips to the famous Istrian historical towns such as Porec, Rovinj and Pula and nearby is a pebble beach, sports harbour and public bathing area. Guest can also take advantage of special additional services available on request such as babysitting, catering, grocery deliveries, car rental and even luxury boat trips!

The five-star house sleeps up to eight people and prices start from £1,407.00 for seven-nights (£176.00 per person based on eight sharing). Book through Interhome.co.uk ref: H2400/303.

The three-storey "Jadranka" house is ideal for a group of friends or extended family. Sleeping up to 14 people it comes with its own swimming pool, sauna and fitness room and the owner throws in a two-hour boat trip, a litre of olive oil and ten litres of wine for free! Located 900m from the centre of Vodice, "Jadranka" is in private grounds in a quiet, residential district only 150m from the beach. The property is cosy for its size and well equipped with satellite TV, DVD player, air-conditioning and multiple bathrooms, kitchens and terraces for alfresco dining.

The three-star house sleeps up to 14 people and prices start from £1,507.00 for seven-nights (£108.00 per person, based on 14 sharing). Book through Interhome.co.uk ref: H4400/300.

For a smaller group or family, Interhome has a two-bedroom, air-conditioned, attic apartment in the historic resort of Lovran. The apartment is contained within a beautiful old house built in 1906 and located right by the sea. There's a pebble beach 500m from the house and a rocky beach just 100m away. The city of Lovran is very child-friendly and there are lots of activities to keep the whole family entertained including diving, sailing (there is a sailing school), tennis, fishing, mountain biking and walking. There are many restaurants, a wellness centre and also a children's playground.

The three-star apartment sleeps up to five people and prices start from £277.00 for seven-nights (£55.00 per person, based on five sharing). Book through Interhome.co.uk ref: H3050/111c.

Nature-lovers will relish in the surroundings of "Oraj", a 19th century farmhouse situated above Lovran on the slopes of Ucka Mountain. The four-bedroom property is split over three levels and the décor is rustic and tasteful with many period features. There are two terraces, a garden pavilion and private outdoor swimming pool to enjoy.

And if that's not enough to keep them entertained guests can take a walk or bike ride in the Ucka National Park in the mountains or go for a dip in the sea at the pebble beach of the Riviera. The property is well equipped for creating a private banquet but there is a cook available on request, should guests feel like a treat!

The three-star house is suitable for up to eight people and prices start from £1,507.00 for seven-nights (£188.00 per person based on eight sharing). Book through Interhome.co.uk ref: H3050/500.

Finally, villa "Lathyrus" in the lovely medieval town of Sv. Lovrec, is another brand new property. The villa's elevated position means that guests enjoy stunning views of the landscape and town and its large living room with open fireplace is the ideal place to relax after a hard day exploring!

The four-bedroom villa is built in a traditional style with white Istrian stone walls and has a well-kept garden with private L-shaped swimming pool. The bustling, historic seaside town of Porec is just 12kms away and offers a multitude of water sports as well as mountain biking and walking, dining and shopping.

The four-star house sleeps up to eight people and prices start from £1,337.00 for seven-nights (£167.00 per person based on right sharing). Book through Interhome.co.uk ref: H2400/409.
