Dear Colleagues,

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will hold its 51st session from 26 February to 9 March 2007, at United Nations Headquarters, New York. The Commission will focus on the thematic issue entitled The elimination of all forms of discrimination and violence against the girl child.

As our organization, Croatian World Congress, has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), we are invited to designate representative(s) to participate in the Commission.

We invite all interested persons, who wish to participate or to attend, to express their interests by contacting the following address: MViscovich@aol.com. by no later than December 22, 2006.

The United Nations or Croatian World Congress will not facilitate the travel and other subsistence arrangements for any participants to the 51st session of the Commission on the Status of Women. All arrangements surrounding travel, visas, accommodations, and daily subsistence costs are the exclusive responsibility of the participants themselves.

Please note that participants are required to submit their visa applications at least three (3) months in advance to allow sufficient time for processing. The United Nations or Croatian World Congress will not send copies of invitations nor confirmation letters to U.S. embassies.

For additional information about the session and organization of work, and reports to be considered, please visit the Divisions website:
