Astana. February 2. KAZINFORM. OSCE had established Council of the prominent political figures, such a decision was taken by the OSCE incumbent chairman, Foreign minister of Slovenia Dimitri Rupel at the session of the OSCE Preparatory committee held on Monday in the capital of Austria, Vienna.
The Council is called to attach new impulse to the political dialogue between the OSCE member states and introduce conceptual viewing of the organization activity within new geopolitical terms. The council is to elaborate proposals aimed at perfection of the OSCE efficiency.
The Council consists of famous political and public figures of the seven OSCE member states –Germany, Russia, the USA, the Netherlands, Norway, Croatia and Kazakhstan. Chairman of the committee of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, resigned Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Kuanysh Sultanov has been elected as the Council member.
