SCOPE: The State Department is inviting applications for a series of 
grants to support education programs related to Bosnia-Hercegovina, Afghanistan, Armenia, and Burma. 
 
DEADLINE: For Bosnia and Herzegovina, May 31. 2002 
 
FUNDS: See below. Organizations with less than four years experience 
in conducting international exchanges are limited to $60,000. 
 
ELIGIBILITY: Public and private nonprofit organizations or 
universities. 
 
AREAS: 
The Youth Leadership Program for Bosnia and Herzegovina is inviting 
proposals to conduct a three-week program in the U.S. focusing on 
leadership and civic education. The 22 participants will be secondary 
school students and teachers from Bosnia and Herzegovina. One grant in 
of approximately $82,000.
