According to the information provided by Robert Manger, the Croatian vice-mister for Science and Technology, Croatia has approximately 600 thousand computers, 1.800.000 telephone lines and 1.400.000 mobile phones. These facts place Croatia on the same level with other countries in central Europe.
He added that in the next five years Croatia would join the developed countries in the research and development of information technology.
