The GNER 18th Leeds International Film Festival will take place this year run from Thursday 28th October until Sunday 7th November. The largest regional film festival in the UK will return with an excess of film premieres, exciting events and special guests. Highlights will include such strands as Fanomenon – which last year played host to sell out screenings of such films as Ju-On: The Grudge and Bubba Ho-tep – will bring you the best of cult movies from around the planet whilst the Festival Fringe will challenge and provoke all film fans with a wide range of documentaries, features and undiscovered gems from all walks of cinematic life.
Alongside the announcement of dates, the festival is extending its deadline for entries of features and shorts until Friday 30th July 2004. We are looking for quality and innovative features and shorts from across the world and of any genre. With a reputation as one of the most fresh and exciting festivals in the United Kingdom, we want films that will reflect the cutting edge nature of LIFF and our desire to showcase the best and newest filmmaking from around the globe.
