Abdul Rahman Ghanim Al Mutaiwee, the Director General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, invited Croatia to establish a Trade Center in Dubai to achieve its plans of consolidating economic relations with the Arabian Gulf Region.
The Director General of the Dubai Chamber met with the Ambassador of Croatia in Egypt, Tvica Tomic, and discussed the important economic issues for both countries. The Ambassador mentioned that his country intends and would like to improve the commercial exchange as well as to develop tourism from the Emirates to Croatia, which is considered to be a prominent European destination on the Adriatic coastline, with over 1000 islands.
Al Mutaiwee said that the Emirates welcomed consolidating relations with Croatia in many sectors, and pointed out that establishing a Trade Center would be the fastest and shortest way to achieve the aspired goals. He added that the Trade Center would not only serve as a tool to consolidate relations between Croatia and the Unites Arab Emirates, but with all the countries in the Arabian Gulf Region. The Director General of the Dubai Chamber also invited Croatia to participate in the international exhibitions held in Dubai and to introduce and promote its products and potentials, pointing out that these exhibitions attract businessmen from all the countries in the region.
Al Mutaiwee spoke of Dubai’s focal economic role in the Middle East and said that this was proved by Dubai being selected to host the International Monetary Fund and World Bank annual meetings in 2003,
