Entrepreneurs Contest in Istanbul Despite Terror
Istanbul, TURKEY, December 07, 2003 - The founder and chairman of the World Young Businessman Achiever (WYBA) Competition Robin Dunseath attended the award ceremony at the Istanbul Hilton Hotel. He was wearing a traditional Scottish kilt.
"They told us not to go to Turkey but I have come with my wife. There was not a single moment that my wife and I thought about not coming here despite all the warnings," said Dunseath.
"The young brave entrepreneurs also have come. It is crucial for us to be close with our friends when they are undergoing hard times. We are here for this. I hope there will not be a time when we will not be able to give support to our friends," added Dunseath, and his remarks were applauded by the crowd in attendance.
Dunseath also said that those who organized this final had achieved something great. The fact that a global competition with representatives from 11 countries, including Turkey, was held in Istanbul was a sign of confidence in Turkey said Dunseath.
Bernard Wash from Ireland won the competition thanks to the beverage named 'Hot Jamaican Superior Calypso Coffee' he began marketing in 1999. Walsh received his award from deputy prime minister and state minister Mehmet Ali Sahin.
