England U18 1-2 Croatia U18: Deja-vu for Young Lions as visitors fight back after Sonupe strikes
By Adam Shergold, 6 March 2014
It was a case of deja-vu for England's Under-18s as Croatia came from behind to beat them 2-1 for the second time in 48 hours.
Neil Dewsnip's Young Lions took a first-half lead at St George's Park courtesy of Tottenham forward Emmanuel Sonupe but the visitors hit back through Fran Brodic and Karlo Lulic to claim another win.
It would prove costly as Croatia broke to claim what proved to be the winner. The ball was worked from the right and Lulic showed good composure to control the ball and find the far corner of the net with Grainger committed.
There was no route back into the match for England, who slipped to another disappointing defeat.
