CROATIA - Land and People
We are pleased to inform the readers of the CROWN that, on the occasion of Croatia's accession to the EU, a new website has been recently launched: www.croatia.eu, that is, "Croatia - land and people“. It provides a great deal of information on Croatia’s geography, history, political organisation, economy, culture, society, interesting facts, etc., with a lots of high quality photos and interesting information.
It has been produced on the initiative of the Public Diplomacy Service of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, with the support of the Institute of Lexicography in Croatia's capital Zagreb.
The entire content of the website has been published in a printed version that can be also downloaded in PDF.
The project has been designed and produced in five months, during the first half of 2013, and a German version is in preparation.
Currently three printed versions and three language versions (Croatian, English and French) are available on the web. German language version is expected to be added later on.
Herewith we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all experts who particpated in this important project. It is planned that it will in fact last forever, with continuous additions, as well as improvements of already published material. The Editors of this edition were Mladen Klemenčić, Ankica Šunjić and Zvonimir Frka-Petešić. The web pages have been superbly designed by KaramanDesign.
Mr. Zvonimir Frka Petešić, Head of the Public Diplomacy Service of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, initiated the project which resulted in launching www.croatia.eu
