F. Zvonko Martić, Carmelite in B&H The Carmelite convent of St. Eliah in Buško Blato in B&H and the Society Passion Heritage from Croatia's capital Zagreb organized a very succesful international conference dedicated to passion heritage of Croatians in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The accompaning program included two concerts of sacral music of Croatians in B&H, with participation of original groups in fantastic national costumes from various parts of the country. The principal organizer of the conference was F. Zvonko Martić, on the photo.

Passion as inepuisable inspiration of culture:

PASSION HERITAGE OF CROATIANS IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

in Carmelie Convent of St. Elijah, 26-29 May 2011

The conference has been organized by the Passion Heritage Zagreb, Croatian Carmelitan Province Zagreb, Convent - spiritual center "Carmel of St. Elijah" Buško Blato.

Carmelite Convent in Buško Blato  keeps 143 completed national costumes of Croatian collected throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some of them are exhibited within the Carmelite convent on the large photos.




Opening concert at the Carmel of St Elijah in Buško Blato, 26 May 2011. Miserere nobis by maestro don Dragan Filipović has been played and sung by
Pro Musica and Gaudeamus choirs from Mostar, the Symphony Orchestra from Mostar, and by students of the Music Academy of the University of Split.


Conducted by Hari Zlodre.


The concert was held in the church of St Elijah on the left.

Dr. Stjepan Pepeljnjak, distinguished Croatian microbiologist, a member of Passion Heritage Society from Croatia's capital Zagreb,
 attantively follows the concert. The Mostar TV and Sarajevo TV registered the whole event with their cameras.

Mrs. Marta is a living encyclopedia of old chants and verses, and also a talented poet.

The spring of Cetina river is one of the most beautiful springs in Croatia. It is about 1.5km from the church of Sv. Spas.
