"Henpecked Husbands" had its premiere in popular theater Domino in Vilnius

Komedija Mire Gavrana “Papučari” premijerno je izvedena dne 10. ožujka u popularnom Kazalištu DOMINO u Vilniusu u Litvi.

Redatelj predstave je Kostas Smoriginas, dok u glavnim ulogama nastupaju Edita Užaite, Ineta Stasiulyte, Eimutis Kvoščiauskas, Mantas Vaitiekunas, Andrius Bialobžeskis, Evaldas Jaras i Sandra Daukšaite-Petrulene.

Ova neobična komedija događa se danas i ovdje, a zaplet počinje kada se ženi srednjih godina udanoj za drugog muža na vratima stana pojavljuje njezin prvi muž, koji je iznenada pušten iz zatvora, jer se pokazalo da je bio nevin. Kako nema gdje, čovjek počinje život zajedno sa svojom bivšom ženom i njezinim novim mužem. Dolazi do neočekivanih sukoba i peripetija.

Prije tri godine je prema ovoj Gavranovoj komediji snimljen film “Kako ukrasti suprugu”  u režiji Donatasa Ulvydasa. Film je postao istinskim kino hitom , tako da je u prvom mjesecu prikazivanja premašio brojku od stotinu tisuća gledatelja. A početkom prošle godine, čak su dva moskovska kazalište u razmaku od nekoliko dana premijerno izvela ovu komediju. Praizvedba “Papučara” je bila 2008.godine u Teatru GAVRAN u Zagrebu u režiji Nine Kleflin.

Djela Mire Gavrana su  prevedena na 38 jezika. Njegove knjige su imale preko 200 izdanja u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu. Po njegovim dramama i komedijama nastalo je više od 300 kazališnih premijera diljem svijeta, a vidjelo ih je više od tri milijuna ljudi.

 

Miro Gavran's comedy "Henpecked Husbands" had its premiere in popular theater Domino in Vilnius, Lithuania on March 10th. Director is Kostas Smoriginas, main roles are performed by Edita Užaite, Ineta Stasiulyte, Eimutis Kvoščiauskas, Mantas Vaitiekunas, Andrius Bialobžeskis, Evaldas Jaras and Sandra Daukšaite-Petrulene.

In this unusual comedy, the plot develops when a middle-aged woman, now married to her second husband, experiences the return from jail of her first. He has unexpectedly been released from jail, because it has been proven that he was innocent all the time. Since he has nowhere to live, the man starts to live in his ex-wife’s flat with his former wife and her second husband. Naturally enough, this situation leads to all sorts of conflicts and various trials and tribulations.

Three years ago this play was adapted into movie "How to Steal a Wife" directed by Donatas Ulvydas. It became authentic cinema hit and was seen by more than one hundred thousand viewers in first month. At the beginning of the 2015 two theaters from Moscow premiered this play within a few days of each other. The first premiere of "Henpecked Husbands" was shown in 2008 by Theater GAVRAN, directed by Nina Kleflin.

The works of Miro Gavran have been translated into 38 languages. His books had over 200 editions in Croatia and abroad. Based on his dramas and comedies, there were more than 300 theatric premieres worldwide, seen by more than three million of people.
