With great joy and love to all of our fellow Croats, we wish to announce the forthcoming «Croatian Children's Festival in New York – Spring 2009». Let's prepare ourselves for this special event, which will take place on April 18th, 2009.
«The Croatian Children's Festival, New York – Spring 2009» is a musical and cultural event intended to connect Croatian youth, their families and the entire Croatian community in the four-state area of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The Croatian Children's Festival of 2009 invites musically talented children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old to participate and to showcase their talent.
«The Croatian Children's Festival, New York – Spring 2009» is a unique opportunity for Croatian diaspora in North America to fortify its emotional bond with the homeland, in a most beautiful and innocent way – through children and music. The festival's special emphasis is on the preservation of Croatian culture and language, as well as strengthening the emotional affiliation to Croatian people in the hearts of second and third generation Croatian immigrants in the US. We also strongly believe that part of the Festival's mission is to bring our Croatian homeland closer to the understanding of the Croatian diaspora, American society and the country we live in.

“HRVATSKI DJECJI FESTIVAL, NEW YORK - PROLJECE 2009” je kulturna i glazbena manifestacija koja nastoji povezati hrvatsku mladez, njihove obitelji, te cijelu hrvatsku zajednicu s podrucja cetiri americkih drzava: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut i Pennsylvania. Nakon krace stanke, Hrvatski djecji festival slavit ce svoju sestu obljetnicu. “HRVATSKI DJECJI FESTIVAL, NEW YORK – PROLJECE 2009” obraca se obiteljima djece u dobi od 5 do 12 godina, koja zele ucestvovati na festivalu i predstaviti svoj glazbeni i pjevacki talent.
“HRVATSKI DJECJI FESTIVAL, NEW YORK - PROLJECE 2009” jedinstvena je prigoda da se hrvatska zajednica s podrucja sjeverne Amerike na najljepsi moguci nacin poveze s domovinom. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na ocuvanju hrvatskog jezika i kulture, te osjecaj pripadnosti hrvatskom narodu u srcima druge i trece generacije nasih iseljenika. Vjerujemo takoder da je festival odlicna prilika za promicanjem i zblizavanjem domovinske Hrvatske s nasom dijasporom i sredinom u kojoj zivimo.
