Croatian Genealogy Seminar

Have ever wanted to learn about your family history, how they came to America or where they were born? Then you won’t want to miss this special event,

A genealogy seminar will be held at the CFU Home Office, 100 Delaney Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15235-5416 on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 9:45AM to 4:30PM

You will learn:

• History of Croatia and origins of Croatians
• Croatian immigration to America and the journey to America,
• How to get started with your family tree
• The do’s and don’ts of genealogy
• How to locate birth records, marriage records, death records, census records in the US and in Croatia
• How to translate Croatian records
• Translation of given names (with Croatian, English, Italian and Latin)
• Meaning of surnames and categories of surnames
• Figuring Family relationships

As part of the seminar we will be searching for and locating original birth, marriage and death records from Croatia, and if you have a laptop computer bring it along with you.

Our research has helped people learn about their ancestors and has helped connect dozens of US families with families in Croatia and other countries. We have done such seminars all over the US and recently did a presentation to the Croatian Genealogy Society in Zagreb Croatia.

This is a free seminar.
