Very interesting info, Ivo. No doubt there are plenty more of these. Now I know why Croatians are passionate about many things. It is because of your DNA. :)

I guess that would depend on if the sausage was grilled or cooked after it was made :-)

Here is a recent one that can be added to the list:

Zadar chef prepares longest apple strudel in Croatian history

mmmmm, strudel

The longest apple strudel in Croatian history was prepared by chef Renato Kraljev and his assistants last Saturday on Zadar’s main street "Kalelarga."

The 750-metre-long strudel was served to the public in the framework of the "Advent in the City" programme on Kalelarga Street between St. Simeon's Church and Our Lady of Health Church.

Kraljev named the strudel "Krsevan" after St. Chrysogonus, the patron saint of Zadar.

It took two days to prepare the strudel. Greengrocers in Zadar's hinterland donated one thousand kilograms of apples, and Croatian company "Ledo" provided 300 kilograms of crumpets. The strudel also included 100 kilos of sugar and 10 kilos of seasoning.

Organisers had planned to serve green tea in addition to 10,000 pieces of apple strudel, but rain prevented them from doing so.

My suggestion is to cook the biggest fish-paprikash, our traditional meal.
