New York, NY – August 29, 2008 – Two kids grew up on Long Island, met in an acting class in New York City and fell in love with each other – and making movies. Those now veteran filmmakers are proud to return to their roots with not just one, but two of their labors of love unspooling at the Long Island Film Festival. The first of their films to screen is RANDOM LUNACY: videos from the road less traveled, on Saturday, September 13th, at 10:30 PM, Merrick Cinemas, 15 Fisher Avenue, Merrick, NY 11566, Ph. 516.623.1177. Directors Stephanie Silber and Vic Zimet will be on hand to introduce the film.
The other film from Silber and Zimet to screen at LIFF, BLACK 47 AT CONNOLLY’S, is a performance doc celebrating “The House Band of New York City,” date and time TBA. The film is in the lineup as part of LIFF offshoot, CultureFest na Gaeilge. For more information:
