Captain Estvan De Lamorandier of the Militia in Avoyelles, Louisiana is a witness to Mr. Marc Ilich, businessman, and Gideon Waken in the sale by Mr. Ilich of a slave, Marie Louise about 17 years old of Canaba nationality, to Mr. Waken for 50 piastres. The sale was made on May 7, 1795 and witnessed and signed by Mr. Louis Grisey, Gideon Waken, Mr. Wable and Estvan De Laramandier.
