MIKULIC---MIKULICH

 

 

Mikula also means Nikola and Mikulic could be a form of this very common name. Mikulic name variations include Mikula, Mikulat, Mikulan, Mikulandra, Mikulas, Mikulec, Mikulek, Mikulicic, Mikulin and Mikuljan.

 

Mikulic had two Arms registered. Mikulic alias Alaburic was considered of the old Croatian-Illyrian Nobility from the Poljica Republic in the 1400's. Arms for Alexander Mikulic were registered in 1693 in the Croatian State Archives. Alexander was Bishop of Knin in 1687 and Bishop of Zagreb in 1694.

         

The Mikulic clan was very prolific and the majority were located at Benkovo, Budicina, Donja Kupcina, Dubica, Karasi, Medvidja, Prolozac, Donji Rastane, Sopot, Stivica, Trnovec, Vele Drazice, Vrbana and Zagreb.
