Stjepan Hauser, a young and prosperous Croatian violoncellist, performed on 18th June 2008 with the Philharmonia Orchestra on Gala Ceremony at St. James' Palace, a Royal residence in London. The event was attended by Prince Charles. Stjepan recently performed at the Buckingham Palace on 23rd April 2008.

Miro Gavran, the most successful contemporary Croatian playwright, has a new premiere in the city of Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, at STUDIO TWO Theatre on July 7, 2008. In his unusual text the three actors each play five roles in five different stories that are interwoven. Gavran's plays have been seen by more than two million theatre-goers on five continents.

More than 300 artists from 71 countries contributed to the Lilliput Exhibition of Ceramics in the town of Rovinj in Croatia. Judging by the number of countries it is the largest exhibition of ceramics in the world. In order to be entered, a sculpture must be less than 17 centimetres high and weigh less than a kilogram.
