The NFCA President was thrilled to meet the President and to extend well wishes from the Croatian American community.

Croatian-Americans meet with the President and First Lady

National Federation of Croatian Americans President Steve Rukavina and his wife Diane with President Barack Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama at a Sunday, December 20th holiday party at The White House with about 225 invited guests. The NFCA President was thrilled to be invited to one of the fourteen official holiday parties in the White House in December attended by President Obama. President Rukavina did extend his well wishes from the Croatian American community and also, he was able to ask President Obama about inviting Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor to the White House for an official bilateral visit. The Rukavinas had to travel through twenty four inches of snow that day from Philadelphia to attend this special holiday reception with beautiful Christmas trees, delicacies, holiday desserts and music filling over ten well decorated rooms within the White House open to all the guests at this holiday reception.
