Married to Marija Miletić, a Croatian, they opened an animation studio in Hollywood. Born in Punjab, India, educated in New Delhi and Belgium, he emigrated to Canada, then United States. He worked in animation studios, and reached the role of a director. Coming from the many generations of medical doctors, one of whom attended the Maharaja of Jaipur, Sukhdev had been urged to continue the tradition, so he finally gave in to his father's wishes by becoming a doctor of chiropractic, since he couldn't stand the sight of blood. He opened a clinic in Hollywood and 25 years practiced chiropractic. Never abandoning his art he continued growing as an artist; painting, sculpting and exhibiting.

Married to Marija Miletić, a Croatian, for 38 years, they opened an animation studio in Hollywood, and are continuing with it in Carmel, where they moved upon Marija's retirement. Both are busy with their individual projects in their studios in Carmel, Zagreb (Croatia's capital), Baška Voda (Croatian tourist resort) and Punjab.
