Croatian national costumes in Monoštor, part 1

Monoštor is a village on the left bank of Danube River, not far from Croatia. It has Croatian majorirty of more than 2000 out of nearly 4000 inhabitants. They belong to the so called Šokci branch of Croatians, known for their very rich and colorful costumes. We express our gratitude to prof. Marija Šeremešić for having sent us these nice photos.

The costumes really look beautiful, especially considering all the intricate patterns and jewelry is individually hand-made,not mass produced.Reminds me of why I really like how the different parts of Croatia too have costumes with variations depending on what part your from, super!
