At the beginning of July 2007, a new innovative mobile travel guide - mobiEXPLORE Croatia was officially presented to general public and also online at www.mobiexplore.com. This is latest release from Gideon Multimedia, award winning mobile development company from Split - Croatia, a member of Nokia's advanced developer program, Forum Nokia PRO. Remarkable success in short period of time is obvious from the fact that it has over 300,000 users at this very moment. Large part  of these tourists have already tested it during their vacation in Croatia this summer.  These past several days audio files with stories about cultural and historical sights were included in this mobile guide and are fully active for all those who want more.

Google's prediction was made once by its CEO, that future mobile technology orientation will go towards usage of mobile as new advertising campaigns medium and it has been already successfully implemented in mobiEXPLORE as Gideon's pioneer attempt on this field. Whole project has been protected in patent registration bureau. Recently on NOKIA web page as mobile application that is more practical and functional than guidebooks mobiEXPLORE sets a new level of expressiveness, efficiency, and interactivity for mobile travel guides.  mobiEXPLORE Croatia features 157 cities throughout Croatia with detail information about cultural and historical sights, active vacation, gastronomy, fun and entertainment, news, service information, useful tips and advice, local customs and much more including a small Croatian phrasebook. Interactive maps of Croatia and individual cities, animations and photos are included as well. Best of all, it is available as a freeware. You can download it from www.mobiexplore.com.

The mobiEXPLORE project is based on Adobe Flash Lite technology, specifically developed for mobile phones and consumer electronics devices. Flash Lite dramatically accelerates the delivery of rich content and user interfaces. Because of its obvious advantages the technology has spread rapidly. Those users who don't have Flash-enabled phone can still use mobile guide through WAP interface.

This is a first in series of similar projects planned for major European travel destinations.

Gideon Multimedia is a company specialized in multimedia development and publishing.
