A Symposium on the Art of Memoir , March 29-31, 2007

Josip Novakovich will be participating in a memoir symposium at Trinity College this coming week; he'll talk about the change in perspective one has in relation to one's memories depending on the distance from one's homeland in time and space. He'll also read a memoiristic accont about Croatia (Slavonija), and he'll give a workshop centering on writing memoirs in the shape of stories, with scenes and dramatic tension.

The schedule of events is listed below.

Trinity College
  • Founded in 1823, one of the oldest colleges in the country. 
  • Independent, nonsectarian liberal arts college in Hartford, Connecticut, accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. (NEASC).
  • Eighth oldest chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in the country.
