Croatia: Walled city

Dubrovnik, Croatia. "This city on the Adriatic Sea has a wonderful old
town, Stari Grad, that makes visitors feel as if they've stepped back in
time.
The medieval city's walls built more than 500 years ago, are 80 feet
high. There are interesting churches, museums and cobbled streets. The
people are warm and delightful. Despite the war (the city was heavily
shelled in 1991), the city's cultural and historical heritage seems
intact. My wife and I visited during a cruise and highly recommend it."
