Transitions Online'sJob Announcement

Stringers in Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro,
Croatia, and Albania

Transitions Online ( www.tol.cz ) is currently looking for young journalists or journalism
students to serve as correspondents in Albania, Croatia, Serbia,Kosovo, Macedonia,
and Montenegro. The requirements are enthusiasm, an avid interest in current affairs, a
love of questioning, the ability to sort the wheat from the chaff, and an eye for detail.
English is a necessity (as is ready access to the Internet). If you have these qualities,
we would like to hear from you. Applicants can be from the capital cities or from the
regions.

As a correspondent, you would be asked to keep the editors informed of all major
news events in your country and alert us to stories from around the country that could
be turned into features, and to issues worthy of an opinion piece or analysis.

Perhaps the major attraction is the opportunity to write at an early stage in your career
on issues of national importance, in English, and in a journal widely read and cited in
the region as well as in Western Europe and the United States. As part of our mandate
and to develop close ties with our contributors, we provide feedback on suggestions
and articles submitted, helping you to improve your journalistic skills.

If you are interested, please send your resume/curriculum vitae to
Tihomir Loza at
tihomir.loza@virgin.net
. We will then send you more information about the job and the next phase of the selection process
