DELEGATES' MEETING AND BANQUET IN NEW YORK CITY

The National Federation of Croatian Americans (NFCA) invites
Croatian-American activists to attend the public proceedings of its
Ninth Annual Assembly of Delegates on Saturday June 1, 2002 from 1:00
p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at La Guardia Airport's Courtyard Marriot, located at
90-10 Grand Central Parkway, East Elmhurst, New York 11369. Scores of
Croatian-Americans from throughout the United States are expected to
attend.
The theme of this year's Annual Assembly will be Croatia's image in the
United States and the world. Negative stereotypes concerning Croatia are
a major stumbling block toward Croatia's greater integration with the
West. The promotion of Croatia's culture can play a key role in building
a positive image of Croatia among American officials and the public.
In that regard, the NFCA has invited Croatia's Ambassador to the United
States, Dr. Ivan Grdesic, to address the Assembly.
The NFCA further expects the Assembly of Delegates to discuss the
establishment of a Croatian-American business council, to be comprised
of top business leaders, to foster economic development in Croatia.
For dinner reservations, please make out your check to the National
Federation of Croatian Americans and send it to our national
headquarters at 1329 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20036.
For more information, please contact the NFCA at 202-331-2930 or by
e-mail at NFCAhdq@aol.com or the President of the NFCA, John Kraljic, at
JKraljic@email.msn.com or at 718-939-0052.
