DUBROVNIK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ACADEMIC CONFERENCE
May 29-30, 2004, Dubrovnik, Croatia

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 1, 2004

The 2nd ANNUAL DUBROVNIK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (DIFF) is holding an academic conference on the weekend of May 29 and May 30, 2004 in the beautiful medieval city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. The conference will provide a forum for academics and specialists in all aspects of film and literary criticism and history, as well as Croatian culture and related fields, to present their current research and meet professionals both within and outside their particular disciplines. Cross-disciplinary submissions are welcome. Topic areas include:

* Film and Literary Criticism and History;
* Croatian History, Culture, Languages and Literature;
* Other Areas of the Arts and Humanities; and
* Cross-disciplinary areas of the above related to each other or other areas.

The Dubrovnik International Film Festival Academic Conference will accept all types of submissions, including completed research papers, completed abstracts or proposed research, student papers, work-in-progress reports and proposals for future projects. Additionally, participants will be invited to attend screenings at the festival itself.


SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

While submissions via e-mail to conference@DUBROVNIKiff.org  are preferred, mailed submissions are also acceptable. E-mail or mail submissions to:

Submissions should include a separate title page including:
- submission title
- topic area
- Name(s) of author(s), email, fax and mailing address(es).

Submissions will be acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt, and should be received by April 1, 2004. Notification of receipt of submissions will be sent via e-mail unless another mode of contact is requested.
